side note to self

We have no idea what we’re doing or where we’re going in the end.  Plan as hard as you want but it’s never going to be concrete until it’s already over and you’re already moved onto completing the next hypothetical step to success.  As a generation we’re so hellbent on being employed and making copious amounts of money that we often overlook the inner-peace and self-love that makes a healthy and happy lifestyle sustainable.  My parents have always iterated a proverb that “you can only survive on love for about a month”.  This focuses on job-security and a sustainable income to be a necessary component to beginning a marriage with another person.  While that may be sage advice for those looking to start a family while unemployed, I think the opposite should be said often times when it comes to inner-happiness and understanding yourself.
